When analytics is allowed
We record an anonymous browser ID, the area you selected, recommendation results, and actions such as opening a forecast or Google Maps.
Google Analytics receives page and action names, the recommended place and rank, and whether you used live or preview mode.
Google Analytics user and event data is retained for 2 months.
Advertising storage and ad personalisation remain off.
What we keep out of Google Analytics
We do not add your GPS coordinates, anonymous browser ID, recommendation session ID, or written feedback to Google Analytics.
Google may still infer an approximate region from your network connection, as with most web analytics.
When analytics is off
No Google Analytics tag is loaded and PlanElse does not save behavioural analytics in its database. Recommendations and Google Maps still work.
The return-visit feedback card is available only when analytics is allowed.
