Your analytics choice

Current setting: Not chosen

This setting is saved in this browser. Set it separately in each browser you use on your phone and computer.

Feedback you choose to send

Feedback is optional and helps us improve the service and investigate problems. We store your message, optional category, entry point, screen category, language, device type, app version and submission time. Feedback from a place detail also includes its public place ID. We do not automatically attach your account, sign-in email, exact location or search text.

After saving your feedback and the details above, we forward them through Resend to our team's inbox at likefaroe@gmail.com. If you request a reply, we include the email address you enter and use it only to respond to that feedback. Database records are automatically deleted after 90 days, whether resolved or not. Hosting and security logs, backups, forwarded feedback and reply emails follow the relevant services' separate retention policies. This does not mean every copy is deleted after 90 days.

You can send feedback without signing in or agreeing to analytics. With analytics consent, we record only entry visibility, opening and delivery outcomes under existing analytics rules. Your message, email and submission identifiers are never sent to Google Analytics.

Private trip planning

Saved trip dates, titles, places and start/end areas are private to your account. Temporary drafts stay in this browser for 30 days after editing and can be deleted. Deleted account trips can be restored within 30 days, and account deletion removes trips. Area reference coordinates are sent to routing and weather providers; precise GPS is not stored in trips. Push notifications are not yet available.

To create a trip draft, you must be at least 18 and agree to AI trip planning. We send Google Gemma 4 the day numbers within your trip, available time, travel pace, selected public places and approximate public regions. We do not send your actual travel dates or times, trip title, account details, GPS or sign-in tokens. Google may use data sent through its free API to improve its products and AI, and people may review it. In unsupported regions, we create a draft using fixed rules without sending a request to an external AI service. We also use those rules when AI is unavailable.

Google AI data use terms

Google sign-in and liked places

Signing in is optional. Google shares your account identifier, name, email address and profile photo with Supabase Auth to verify your identity. LikeFaroe does not receive your Google password or access your Gmail or Drive.

LikeFaroe stores your account identifier, liked place IDs and the time you save them. Only your account can read or change this list. Removing a like deletes that saved item. Signing out removes the session from this browser, but keeps your list for your next visit. This is separate from analytics consent; account details and your liked list are not sent to Google Analytics.

When analytics is allowed

The existing recommendation analytics stores random browser and recommendation-session identifiers; the selected area's ID, label, and source; recommendation-generation and weather-check times; the rough-conditions flag; and five fields per result: attraction ID, rank, paid-tunnel option, visit-requirements option, and guide requirement. Written feedback is kept separately when you choose to send it through the feedback form.

Google Analytics receives page and action names, the recommended place and rank, and whether you used live or preview mode.

The older recommendation analytics records do not yet have automatic deletion. Google Analytics retention is governed by its property settings and Google's policy, and standard aggregate reports may be treated separately; LikeFaroe does not promise one universal deletion period for Google data.

Advertising storage and personalised ads stay off.

Separate service-improvement counters

Only after analytics consent, LikeFaroe also counts recommendation outcomes, coarse processing-time and result-size bands, catalogue/list/detail request outcomes, and fixed action names. Each day only totals increase: no individual event history, account/browser/session ID, IP, coordinates, search text, referrer or campaign is included in these counters. They are not sent to Google. Request/action counts are not people or a sequential funnel. Choosing Off or opening the exclusion page stops future optional counters in this browser; Global Privacy Control is also respected by these new counters.

Only the new counter tables are automatically expired after 90 days. The monitor reads fixed daily snapshots after the day ends plus 24 hours, rounds to tens and hides small categories and their complements. The partial first day is excluded. Missing or hidden figures are not zero. Hosting/security logs and backup copies follow the providers' separate policies; 90 days is not a promise about every copy. The site still processes network information to deliver and protect its services.

What we keep out of Google Analytics

We do not add exact GPS coordinates, random browser or recommendation-session identifiers, or written feedback to Google Analytics. Exact GPS coordinates, Maps URLs, photo URLs, descriptions, and detailed forecasts are also excluded from the new minimized LikeFaroe recommendation analytics payload.

Google may still infer an approximate region from your network connection, as with most web analytics.

When analytics is off

No Google Analytics tag is loaded and LikeFaroe stops future behavioural analytics collection and removes local analytics identifiers. Turning analytics off does not automatically delete earlier server records. Recommendations and Google Maps still work.

You can still choose to send feedback when analytics is off.
