-Follow the orange posts and gates over the hill.

-When the valley comes into view, take the steps and steep downhill path to the lake.

-Remember that you'll need to climb back up after descending to the lake.

-Take care on wet paths, and bear in mind that the loop through the rocky gorge is harder than the basic out-and-back route.

-Once through the gate, you can see the small lake and the mountain walls around it all at once.

-The mountain walls feel much taller when you look up from the water's edge.

-The small island out at sea is also beautiful.
